Our Story
Handsome Biscuit opened its doors in 2013 in Norfolk with a simple but bold idea: take the humble biscuit, give it a sweet potato twist, and pile it high with delicious fried chicken and bold Southern-inspired flavors. What started as a small shop in a then-quiet corner of Norfolk has grown alongside the neighborhood itself. Over the years, businesses have popped up, apartments have risen, the community has flourished, and through it all, our biscuits have stayed as fluffy (and as handsome) as ever.
Handsome Biscuit set out to bring new energy to the local food scene. Today, we are still trying to keep things creative, welcoming, and just a little bit cheeky, because while we take flavor seriously...we don’t take ourselves too seriously.
In Fall 2024, we brought the biscuit love to Town Center of Virginia Beach, serving up the same sweet potato biscuits, fried chicken sandwiches, and comfort food favorites that made us a Norfolk staple. Whether you’re a longtime local or just visiting the area, we’re here to make sure your brunch, lunch, or fried chicken fix is something worth talking about.

Can I bring my dog?
Do you cater special events?
NORFOLK: We have an outdoor patio with community tables that seats about 30 people. If you prefer to stand and eat, we also have a standing bar in the front.
VB: We have an indoor dining room and patio seating.
Of course! You’re welcome to bring your leashed dog and enjoy our outdoor patio. Only service dogs are allowed inside.
We offer large orders of our regular menu. Delivery may be available, depending on event location and date. We ask for at least 2 business days prior to your event for ordering. More notice is always better! Visit our catering page.
